The Son of Man is Lord of the Sabbath

When Jesus said that he was “Lord, even over the Sabbath,” He was once again proclaiming His own divinity. He had the authority to overrule the Pharisees’ traditions and regulations because He had instituted the Sabbath.  He has the authority to make rules in your lives as you are His Creation. Can you allow Him to do that? He has the authority to make something new in your preplanned schedules. Can you allow Him to make the change? He has the authority to overrule every patterns, traditions or regulations made by man even in the Church. Can we allow Him to do that? The Creator is always greater than His creation.

Character of Christ - Christian Love

Christian character building has been an emphasis in this current generation and has been a learning curve for our church. We are going to start with Christian LOVE. I would like to focus on 1 Cor 13:4-7 & Ephesians 5:1&2 We know about different types of Love. There are seven Greek words and their meanings which you can find in this article by Rania Naim. Love does not rejoice in wrong doing. This is a key identifier for Christian Love. Definition: Based on John 14:15, I would like to define Christian Love as - Being obedient to the commands of God. Learning from the Scripture 1 Corinthians 13:7 - KJV teaches that in Christian Love, one is ready to bear, believe, hope and endure all things. Do we bear ALL things?? Do we believe ALL things? When I write about hope, are we ready to keep hoping for a better action or a better response in spite of taking up conversations and discussions over and over again?? When I write about endurance, do we keep enduring even if ...

Lakshya - Mai daudta rahu -

I would like to present this next song that God gave to me while preparing a theme song for ICPF Durgapur Camp 2018. It was a joy to minister with Sujeet Karjee, Tasbeer, Benjamin and Rakesh and be a blessing to the youths who came for the camp. The following are the lyrics of the song: मै दौड़ता रहू, यीशु थमा मुझे उसका सामर्थ मुझे दौडाता रहे मै सीखता रहू प्रभु के वचनों से पवित्र आत्मा मुझे सिखाता रहे Prechorus: पिछला सब भूलकर, क्रूस की और देखकर  उस इनाम को पाऊ, जो मेरे लिए तैयार है Chorus: लक्ष्य विजय का, ऊँची बुलाहट का, निशाने की और मै दौड़ा चलू  लक्ष्य यीशु ही है, सर्वाधिकारी है, तुझ से ही प्रेम करू पाप की संतान, श्राप का गुलाम होकर चलता रहा - मेरा जीवन क्रूस का लहू जो पवन है मेरे अधर्मो को क्षमा किया Transliterated to English: Mai daudta rahu, Yeshu thama mujhe Uska samarth mujhe daudata rahe Mai sikhta rahu Prabhu ke vachano se Pavitra aatma mujhe sikhata rahe      Prechorus: Pichla sab bhulkar, krus ki aur dekhkar Us inaam ...

Blessed are the poor in spirit

Matthew 5:3 Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. The general perception of this scripture can indicate that the Bible advocates poverty. But the truth is that the Bible does not teach man to live as poor man or stay in sorry or reproach or hunger, rather, here in this scripture, we find another kind of poverty that the Bible is teaching about. Poor in spirit shows: lack of our dependency on ourselves (on our self) or our efforts complete reliance on God's provision hunger for spiritual needs being passionate for the word of God and the work of God When Ananias and Saphira decided to depend on what was held back from giving to the apostles, instead of trusting on God to provide for their needs, we see that they failed to enter the kingdom of God. Whereas, when the widow trusted on prophet Elijah and decided to listen to His word to bring him some food inspite of her littleness, God blesses her and fed her and her family during the cou...

Blessed are the pure in heart

Matthew 5:8 - Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God We will see God one day when we are received to glory in Heaven, Yet on this earth, we can see God, in person when He appears himself to us as we seek or pray to Him, or from the word of God and in worship, or through the experiences in our life, or by visions and dreams Jesus Christ told the people around him once to turn themselves and be like little children as this would fetch the Kingdom of God for them. Purity in heart is basic expectation that God has for His children.  Anna, the prophetess who was waiting in the temple of God for probably around 50 years after her husband died, had decided to not waste away in living for a human but to live a life only seeking Him and thus maintaining a life of purity - the result - She saw the Lord with her own eyes in her lifetime. Purity or Holiness seeks separation, which means one who expects to live a holy life would have to live a life, not accor...

Hindrances for answers to our prayers -

Temptations

Passage: Luke 4:1-13 The passage talks about the temptation that Jesus underwent before His minstry. Well, though I have read this passage many times, I got a new revelation while reading it this time. What I found so special in this incident, is the three different situations in which Jesus was while He was being tempted. In Times of Need Verse 2 Being forty days tempted of the devil. And in those days he did eat nothing: and when they were ended, he afterward hungered. This is a stage, where Jesus needed food to quench his hunger. As a Christian, we go through different kind of needs in our life. This can range from spiritual, financial, emotional, etc.... (Only you and God knows what are your needs....) This is a stage very vulnerable for temptation from the devil. Every child of God must be very careful, as the devil may trap us by showing us the solution of our need. Hebrews 4: 16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to he...
