A 5-finger rule for worship team

The following are the 5-finger rule for the worship team: Thumb : We use the thumb to wish the best. We need to dedicate our best to Him including best music, efforts, songs, etc. Fore Finger : We use the fore finger to point at others. We need to understand that we are leading others to God's presence, so its must to see the status of the people as we lead people to worship, whether there are circumstances good enough for them to worship. In short, we are doing it to lead others to Him. Middle Finger : This is the tallest finger of our hand. We must realize that, its not in the music, but in the 'SONG', every line of the song, that people are gonnna be touched and so, song must be given the highest priority. Ring Finger : This shows relationship. Every one in the team must have a good relationship with God as well as with all others in the team. Love and respect every one in the team. N

Process before worship

The passage is from 1 Peter chapter 2 (BIBLE) 4 Coming to Him as to a living stone, rejected indeed by men, but chosen by God and 5 you also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. precious, We notice a process here. Lets find the verbs which relate a child of God: coming to Him, built up and finally offer up. Coming to Him : Shows our calling by God, and our response to His call. Built Up : 1. Spiritual House 2. Holy Priesthood Spiritual House: refers to Growth in our personal relationship with God as well as men. Holy Priesthood: refers to our life separated out to Him. Offer Up : Shows worship, surrendering ourselves for His will, as John says- I must decrease. The mistake that we generally make is to go and 'offer up' first, rather than going through the process of coming to Him and building up ourselves and then offering ourselves. Let

Bearing Fruits for Him !!

The passage is from Luke chapter 13 Verse 6 Then he told this parable: "A man had a fig tree, planted in his vineyard, and he went to look for fruit on it, but did not find any. Verse 7 So he said to the man who took care of the vineyard, 'For three years now I've been coming to look for fruit on this fig tree and haven't found any. Cut it down! Why should it use up the soil?' Imagine God speaking referring to us, do we have any answer to give Him ? Why should we be wasting the resources that God gives us ? Why should we be wasting the energy and life that God gives us ? Why should we be wasting the time that God gives us ? Especially for leaders, when we realise that the vineyard that we are planted in, is not ours, its His, our attitude towards the ministry, our way of thinking changes. The vineyard shows the place of ministry. Oooooh ?? Well there is a reason (as of now, to not get scared..) Jesus intercedes for us and gives an answer in the next verse,

Acknowledging Christ

The passage is from Luke 12 Verse 8 "I tell you, whoever acknowledges me before men, the Son of Man will also acknowledge him before the angels of God. Verse 9 But he who disowns me before men will be disowned before the angels of God. Well many times we forget to acknowledge God before men. The day after reading this passage (learning the theory), the Lord gave an opportunity to acknowledge Him ( practical session ) during a tea-break in my office. I could feel that temptation, in this case, whether or not to tell about Christ in front of my friends . But PRAISE GOD that I could tell about my Lord, at least what I can.... Now that, how can it be done ? Not so easy, but not too hard either, keep praying first of all, asking the Lord to give you an opportunity. Today morning, as I was reading Luke 11: 10 "For everyone who asks receives...." Lets take it as a promise, that if you ask for an opportunity, you will receive. So thats how our God is, He wants us to walk the

Message with Authority !!

Luke 4: 31 Then he went down to Capernaum, a town in Galilee, and on the Sabbath began to teach the people. 32 They were amazed at his teaching, because his message had authority. Luke 5: 17 One day as he was teaching, Pharisees and teachers of the law, who had come from every village of Galilee and from Judea and Jerusalem, were sitting there. And the power of the Lord was present for him to heal the sick. Lets examine ourselves and make sure that the power that we receive from His presence, should be manifested through our "WORDS" (message as we see in the passage) and in our "WORKS" (healing the sick as we see in the passage) God bless us all !!!

Temptations

Passage: Luke 4:1-13 The passage talks about the temptation that Jesus underwent before His minstry. Well, though I have read this passage many times, I got a new revelation while reading it this time. What I found so special in this incident, is the three different situations in which Jesus was while He was being tempted. In Times of Need Verse 2 Being forty days tempted of the devil. And in those days he did eat nothing: and when they were ended, he afterward hungered. This is a stage, where Jesus needed food to quench his hunger. As a Christian, we go through different kind of needs in our life. This can range from spiritual, financial, emotional, etc.... (Only you and God knows what are your needs....) This is a stage very vulnerable for temptation from the devil. Every child of God must be very careful, as the devil may trap us by showing us the solution of our need. Hebrews 4: 16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to he
