Passage: Galatians 1,2
I got to read the above passage and got to know some new things which I would like to share......
chapter 1
1 Paul, an apostle—sent not from men nor by man, but by Jesus Christ and God the Father
He had an assurance that God was sending Him and his words below in verse 8 confirm that the gospel alloted to him was truly divine.
8 But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let him be eternally condemned!
12 I did not receive it from any man, nor was I taught it; rather, I received it by revelation from Jesus Christ.
He had something which he says to have received from the LORD.
15-17 But when God....... was pleased to reveal his Son in me so that I might preach him among the Gentiles, I did not consult any man........... but I went immediately into Arabia and later returned to Damascus.
He spent quality time in God's presence before being in men's presence.
10....If I were still trying to please men, I would not be a servant of Christ.
Paul explains in the next few verses how he practically applied the above statement in his life, while he had been to Jerusalem, where some people (as he says, some leaders) were not ready to accept him, as in chapter 2 we see,
6 As for those who seemed to be important—whatever they were makes no difference to me; God does not judge by external appearance.
Such a person will be able to say as in chapter 5,
1 It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.
Only you and God knows what kind of slavery you go through. Only you and God knows what is your weakness.
So finally, lets have an assurance of God's presence in our lives always, lets know Him more, spend time in His presence and receive from Him so that we will be able to feel the freedom in Christ and be able to stand firm in every situation of our life !! God bless you !!!
